Seoul, KR

23:34 -- I had a very interesting day today.

First I went Seoul Station to buy a train+ferry pass to go to Japan. Well it was not that easy, and in fact it's not possible since I want to stop in Gyeongju in Korea and Kyoto in Japan. So I've bought a train ticket to Gyeongju leaving 8am on Saturday. This is along weekend, and all the trains where fully booked. I think this was the last seat available, From Gyeongju, I'll take an express bus to Busan, and I?ll sort out the part for Japan there

Anyway, from Seoul station, I've walked to Seoul tower in Namsan Park. It looks close on the map, but it's 30 minutes walk and you have to climb 800 stairs ! I was sweaty and exhausted when I finally reached the tower. Though it's worth the walk and the view up there is just amazing.

Then I went to Namdaemun market. It's a huge market maze with all kind of shit. It was packed, and quite oppressing. The smell was terrible also. From there I walked back to Jongno, and halfway I bumped into the Mayday demonstration.

The demonstration was amazing. I can't really describe it, just check the pictures.

Then I went for dinner with Dong Seok, a friend from Daewoo (the guy closing the white SUV), in Daehangno. It was some kind of traditional/tourist restaurant. You sit on the floor in a large empty room, and they bring the table with the food on it. The food was great. The rice wine also ...

Then we went for a drink in Hong-ik University, and talked about design until 1 am!
